Bailey Grace Peterson

“Bailey was love. She was light.
She was everything good in this world.”
March 27, 1998 – February 25, 2026

Born March 27, 1998 to parents Roger and Terri, Bailey loved life, family, friends and animals of every kind. She had a true servant’s heart, always seeking opportunities to help those in need of kindness, caring and compassion. Even as she suffered throughout her years, Bailey always thought of others before herself.

She was a peacemaker and peacekeeper with a gentle, kind spirit that put everyone at ease. She made sure everyone felt heard and cared for, no matter the circumstances. To know Bailey was to love her.

Bailey loved traveling, finding fun restaurants and new cuisine, music, shopping, playing a variety of sports, and summers on the lake with family. Professionally, she was a nursing assistant who cared deeply about her patients, and was enrolled in nursing school up until she was diagnosed with her third cancer. With a passion for natural healing, Bailey dreamed of becoming a holistic nurse practitioner so she could help people overcome their physical and mental illnesses in a safe, homeopathic way.

Bailey was first diagnosed with Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia (JMML) at the age of five. She went through big guns treatment and had a bone marrow transplant in 2003, with her dad as her perfect-match donor. Considered by her doctors to be a true miracle, she beat nearly unbeatable odds and went on to live a busy, active and happy life. Bailey showed us all that she would simply not be defined by her diagnosis and prognosis outlook.

In 2023, Bailey was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, a secondary cancer caused by radiation from her JMML treatment. She recovered and continued nursing school until she was diagnosed with her third cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, in November of 2024. Bailey, along with everyone close to her, believed strongly she would beat this cancer, too.

Surrounded by loved ones, Bailey Grace Peterson passed into her eternal life at 10:27 am, February 25, 2026 at the age of 27.

Bailey is survived by her mother, Terri, her sister, Rachel, her brother, Andrew, Hunter, the love of her life whom she’d made so many wonderful future plans with. She was preceded in death by her father, Roger.
